Travis Scott

Travis Scott is a Grammy-nominated rapper who was born as "Jacques Berman Webster II" on April 30, 1991, in Houston, Texas. After briefly attending the University of Texas, he dropped out to pursue a music career in New York City, then relocated to California. By the age of 20, he was back in Houston, where he released his first full-length project, a mixtape titled Owl Pharoah, in 2013. Owl Pharoah earned Scott a nomination from the BET Hip Hop Awards and was followed by the platinum-selling debut album Rodeo, which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard charts in 2015. "Antidote," the album's most successful single, went quadruple platinum in the US, where it reached number 16 on the Hot 100. 2016's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight was similarly successful, debuting at Number 1 and featuring the double-platinum hit "Pick Up the Phone." Another track, the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Goosebumps," was even more successful, selling more than eight million copies in America alone. This success was trumped by 2018's "Sicko Mode," a wildly popular single that topped the Hot 100 and earned a diamond certification for more than 10 million copies sold. Its accompanying album, Astroworld, reached Numbed 1 in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden, while also becoming one of the most critically-acclaimed hip-hop albums of the decade. Five years later, Scott returned to Number 1 in multiple countries with Utopia, his third consecutive chart-topping album in America as well as his first Number 1 release in the UK.
