Roddy Ricch

Rodrick Wayne Moore Jr. (October 22, 1998), who goes by the name Roddy Ricch, is an American hip-hop performer from Compton, just south of Los Angeles, California. He began performing as a youngster and in 2017 released a mixtape titled Feed Tha Streets, followed by an EP titled Be 4 That Fame. A second mixtape, Feed Tha Streets II (2018), went to Number 36 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and Number 68 on the Billboard 200. In 2019, Roddy Ricch netted a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance after featuring on the late Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks in the Middle” alongside producer Hit-Boy. Only a year later, his studio debut Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial debuted atop the Billboard 200 and spent four non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 while its fourth single “The Box” claimed the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after. The remainder of 2020 brought numerous award nominations and collaborations with other rap artists such as Meek Mill, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and DaBaby, as well as record-breaking streaming numbers. Preceded by the single “Late at Night,” his sophomore effort Live Life Fast saw the light in 2021 and soared to the top of the Billboard 200, becoming his second studio album to do so.
