Tysen Jay Bolding (February 27, 1986) is an American rapper who performs under the stage name Money Man. Born in The Bronx but raised in Atlanta, Georgia, he became active in the rap scene in the early 2010s but it wasn’t until 2016 that he finally rose to fame with the Black Circle trilogy, a series of mixtapes that helped him grow a substantial following and included cameos by Young Thug, Akon, and Gucci Mane. After delivering the mixtapes Secret Society, 24 Hours, and Harvest Season in 2017, Money Man upped the ante in 2018 by releasing five new mixtapes as well as an EP titled Winter. Paranoia, his first charting release, appeared in 2019 and cracked the Top 40 of the Billboard 200. That same year, he also joined forces with Atlanta rap staple Peewee Longway on the collaborative album Long Money. Heavily inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, the mixtapes Epidemic and State of Emergency saw the light in 2020 and were followed by Blockchain (2021), which peaked at Number 13 on the pop charts. Featuring stellar appearances from hip-hop luminaries such as Benny the Butcher, Nardo Wick, and G Herbo, his full-length Big Money landed at Number 95 on the Billboard 200 in 2022.
