The daily schedule for the Brampton, Canada native - who was sentenced in connection with three felony convictions in the July 2020 incident in the Hollywood Hills - begins around 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. with breakfast in a chow hall, the spokesperson said. It is followed by a work release, an arrangement in place for about 96 percent of the prison population, with jobs including plumbing, carpentry and air conditioner repair. Prisoners can also receive work credits for taking classes while in custody. Programs at the prison give inmates the opportunity to receive certifications and Master's degrees, as well as participate in courses educating about narcotics, anti-violent behavior and parenting. Prisoners at the facility also have access to a dayroom and recreational area where they can communicate with their relatives via tablets. Inmates at the facility have dinner at around 5 p.m., with lights out coming at 9 p.m., at which point they are mandated to go back to their cells. Lanez in August said that he accepted responsibility for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in a statement in court before his sentence was announced. 'I want to say that everything that I did wrong that night I take full responsibility for,' Lanez, told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Herriford on August 9, according to transcripts obtained by People . Lanez delivered his statement in trying to appeal to the court for a lighter sentence, saying that he accepted 'full culpability' for his actions in the incident. 'I am mature enough to say where I was wrong,' he said. 'If I could go into it, I would, but I know that this is not the place for that. But I do take responsibility for my wrongs.'
