Morray Drops 'Street Sermons' Project After Signing To Interscope

Fayetteville rapper Morray continued his HipHopDX Rising Star status with the release of his debut 'Street Sermons' project on Wednesday (April 28).

HipHopDX Rising Star Morray released his debut project titled Streets Sermons on Wednesday morning (April 28), fresh off signing a deal with Interscope Records. The Fayetteville, North Carolina rappers new mixtape includes 13 tracks and features his breakthrough single Quicksand,which has over 61 million views on YouTube. In a press release, the projects described as a look at Morrays youthful struggles and indiscretions and motivations to succeed, while showing the universal truths about the tragedies and triumphs of growing up in the hood. Morray didnt collaborate with anyone on the singles and the project remains without any guest appearances. The visual finds him taking a radio station hostage and hijacking the airwaves with his music. Im tryna separate all the emotion that Im guarded with, he raps in the song. Im getting mixed emotions from the people that I started with/Feelin like its fake love only for the sponsorships/Scratch em off the Deans List, cancel all the scholarships. Everyone from JAY-Z to J. Colehas co-signed Morray since he burst onto the scene in 2020, with the major labels also taking notice. On April 16, it was announced Morray had signed a deal with Interscope Recordsin a partnership with Pick Six Records. Im speaking for every person that has real emotions, he said. Im speaking to everyone that has a heart. Every song that you hear from me is a real feeling. I want people to cry with me. I want people to grow with me. I want people to understand where weve come from, and that we can always make it out of everything. He added, Its just so dope to be on a winning team with Pick Six, and to add a powerhouse like Interscope to the mix is just an amazing blessing.
