Logic Calls Out Def Jam For 'Fucking Up' His Releases #Logic

Logic put Def Jam on blast on Thursday (April 21) for the way they're handling his music releases, but made sure to take the CEO out of the equation.

Logic is putting Def Jam Recordings on blast for the way theyre handling his music releases. The Maryland rapper took to social media on Thursday (April 20) to call out the label, but made sure to point out his comments werent aimed at the companys CEO, Tunji Balogun. Def Jam, why you fucking up my releases, man? he said in a video. First of all, I love you Tunji. Tunjis my guy, he aint got nothing to do with this. What the fuck is going on, man? I told Def Jam that I wanted to release my shit as a two-pack and I just found out that theyre releasing it as two singles at the same time. What kind of shit is that? On top of that, theyre telling me, Oh, dont drop your music video early cause if you do, you might upset our partners who feel like YouTubes getting an exclusive. I dont give a fuck about none of that shit. I care about my fans, man. I care about Hip Hop. I care about music. Logic admitted he used to care about the money, but now hes settled down and in a good financial position, hes focused solely on the music. And Ima be honest, years ago, I was playing that game: Dont do this, release this on this shit,' he explained. All for the brand and the money and trying to be fucking extra, and I dont give a fuck about none of that, man. I have my baby, I have my wife. Im blessed, bro. I made it. And now Im here at this place, I aint taking nobodys shit. Def Jam, do not fuck up my release. Vinyl Days is coming out in June. Im so excited, I love yall, but theyre fucking my shit up. Everybody in that building who is really there for me I love you, thank you so much. Everybody else can eat a dick. A post shared by Logic (@logic) This isnt the first time Logic has had issues with Def Jam. In October 2020, he called out the label for not paying his album collaboratorsand said it was damaging his personal relationship with people. @defjam can you please pay my friends and musicians that have made my albums great this is ridiculous at this point! he wrote at the time. I shouldnt be getting calls from close friends of mine in the middle of dinner with my Wife about how YOU havent paid them from the budget youve given me for this album. Read more
