So step forward Signors Dolce & Gabbana , the effervescent Italian power duo who have just the thing for pepping up your leisurewear, via a new collaboration with DJ Khaled. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to collaborate with Stefano and Domenico, and this collection showcases a fun blend of my classic Miami style and the high fashion of Dolce & Gabbana, says the American rapper, who first appeared on the Dolce & Gabbana catwalk in virtual form during its last menswear show,as part of montage of celebrities taking part in a Zoom-style video chat. Exuberant prints feature on tracksuits The resulting collections up the ante on loungewear considerably. Taking inspiration from Miamis hip Wynwood neighbourhood, the tracksuits are eye-popping affairs, with dappled bougainvillea florals alongside splashy, verdant fronds, or lions peering out from romantic blooms. In short, the brands dolce-vita exuberance applied to the most everyday of items. Sports and leisurewear have long been a part of the Dolce & Gabbana style lexicon, a counterpoint to the more sartorial, tailored elements of the houses menswear (and catnip to the legions of millennials that the brand has worked with in recent years). We might be in loungewear for a little while longer yet, but adding a touch of South Beach festivity will go a long way to alleviating the lockdown doldrums.
