After documenting her daily community service outfits with tongue-in-cheek warnings about staying on the right side of the law all week, Cardi took to Twitter on Saturday (February 25) with more serious commentary about her experience. Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me, she wrote. In September 2022, Cardi B pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and reckless endangerment both of which are misdemeanors in a New York court. Cardis plea meant she avoided jail time and was instead given 15 days of community service. Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me. In January, however, Cardi B appeared in court to request an extensionafter failing to complete any of her court ordered community service time. The judge presiding over the hearing ruled in Cardis favor, giving her a March 1 deadline to complete all 15 days. The Bronx rapper began documenting the work outfits related to her sentence on Tuesday (February 21), a little over a month after being granted her extension. However, the caption on her first such post which read, Day whatever the fuck of community service.Obey the law !!!! seemed to indicate that she had started serving her time before then.
