Despite a written formal request from ASAP, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, Swedens Prison and Probation Service cited logistic and security concerns as their reasoning for not allowing the famous former inmate to return to perform where he was once detained. Rocky is slated to perform at the Ericsson Globe Arenain Stockholm, Sweden on December 11, the same city where he was arrested for assaulting a fan this summer. ASAP was held in Kronoberg Prison for weeks following his July arrest until his acquittal in August. The Prison and Probation Service was once open to the idea of the Harlem native returning to give back to the prisoners who he was once jailed with, but the agencys Vilhelm Grevik stated today that with the high occupancy of the already packed prison, Rockys request of over a dozen people in his entourage and the fact that the show would be less than a week away, the request was respectfully denied.
